CV Boot Repair Kit Installation
Sometimes you need an on the go repair. With the CV Boot Repair Kit you have the ability to do a quick trail side fix to increase your overall trail time. The universal fit works as a temporary fix for most powersports axles and easily fits inside a cargo box, or other storage locations like the glovebox. To install follow these steps:
- Remove wheel and axle nut
- Remove brake caliper, hub, tie rod, 6 upper and lower ball joints
- Remove old boot & clean joint
- Spread silicone lube on entire cone tool. Slide boot over cone tool, large end first. See package for outer boot instructions
- Empty the bag of grease into the CV joint/boot, clean sealing points & install clamps
- Reassemble tie rod, ball joints, brake caliper, axle nut, tire & wheel
